Mountaindell Cloud Sky

Sky is a papered Alpine doe that came to the farm on August 15, 2018 from Mountaindell Cloud Sky (North Plains, OR) by way of a home milker in Eugene, OR.

Born in 2012 and freshened in 2017, she was still in milk when she was brought home. Her milk was the first produced for human consumption on the farm since 2015, and the first goat milk produced on the farm using our surge machine milker.

As the only doe in milk during our startup phase, she served as the sole experimental test subject for our initial protocols and processes or our goat barn, milking room, and creamery.

2019

Sky was exposed to Simba in August 2018. On January 24, 2019, Sky delivered twins, a boy and girl. The girl died within 24 hours. The boy was named Tom.
